MEXICO CITY, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Ecuador international forward Enner Valencia has joined Mexico's Pachuca after parting ways with Internacional, the Liga MX club said on Thursday.
It will be the 35-year-old's second spell with the Tuzos following a successful six-month stint in 2014 when he scored 18 goals in 25 matches.
"Enner Valencia returns," Pachuca said in a video on social media that showed him entering a time-traveling car used in the science-fiction film Back to the Future.
The club did not provide contract details, but local media said he agreed to a deal running until December 2027.
Earlier, Internacional said it reached a mutual agreement to terminate Valencia's contract, which had been due to expire in June next year.
Valencia scored 31 goals in 100 appearances for Internacional after joining the Brazilian club from Fenerbahce in 2023.
The former West Ham and Everton attacker is Ecuador's all-time leading scorer with 47 goals in 100 international matches. ■
