Hidalgo has also lifted league or cup titles in Türkiye, Greece, Russia, Qatar, and Lebanon while playing for clubs including Fenerbahce, Olympiacos, Yugra Nizhnevartovsk, Al Rayyan, and Bouchierie. His resume also features three state cup victories in Türkiye, Greece, and Qatar.
He has represented other clubs such as Tianjin in China, Berlin RV in Germany's Bundesliga, Poland's Jastrzebski Wegiel, Qatar's Al Arabi, and Türkiye's Spor Toto, where he played last season.
On the international stage, Hidalgo won the Asian Champions League with Al Arabi in 2012, earning MVP and best server honors. He later added Gulf Club Championship titles with Al Rayyan in 2015 and 2016 and captured the European Challenge Cup with Olympiacos in 2023.
"Hidalgo is a player with one of the most extensive experiences and resumes to ever come to Israel. He brings speed and strength to the game, is a very strong server, and shows excellent defensive play," said Maccabi Tel Aviv head coach Gal Galili.
