MACAO, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Visitor arrivals to China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) reached 19,218,540 in the first half of 2025, an increase of 14.9 percent year-on-year, according to information released by the SAR's Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) on Thursday.
The data showed that the average length of stay dropped slightly, by 0.1 day, to 1.1 days, reflecting the higher proportion of same-day travelers.
In terms of visitor sources, those from the Chinese mainland totaled 13.77 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 19.3 percent.
In June alone, the Macao SAR recorded 2.89 million visitors, up 13.3 percent year-on-year. ■
