ARUSHA, Tanzania, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Northern Tanzania's Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) will soon roll out new tourism products aimed at wooing more tourists to the area, an official said on Monday.

Paul Fissoo, NCAA's manager for tourism services, said in an interview that the new move was in line with the authority's plan to diversify its products.

Among the new products that may be introduced according to the official includes hot air ballooning, biking as well as horse riding in some of the attractions found within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of the Seven African Natural Wonders.

"The new products will complement other services offered which means a tourist will not be confined to wildlife alone," he explained.

The NCAA official was optimistic that the new plan will lure more visitors into the area who always come to marvel at the Ngorongoro, Empakai and the Olmoti craters.

"Some of the tourists have expressed their wish off seeing these services brought at their disposal and we cannot ignore such a fact," he added.

Apart from the two craters, Ngorongoro is also revered for the darn of volcanic ash also known as the "shifting sand" and the state of the art Olduvai Gorge Museum, the only museum in the world which holds the earliest evidence of the existence of human ancestors, built within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Tanzania is the only country in the world that has allocated over 25 percent of its total area for wildlife and other resources conservation and according to the report findings, visitors with a high preference for wildlife came from the Netherlands, United States, Switzerland, United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
